One of Golden Goal’s objectives is to foster amongst every participant and parent a sense of special accomplishment, integrity and inner pride by delivering an experience where every participant were treated as if they were a major league player. By recognizing that our youth are our best hope for the future; a hope that sees the invisible, feels the intangible and believes that they can achieve the impossible is the very inspiration for the creation of Golden Goal Tournament Park and the World Youth Soccer Hall Of Fame
Regardless of the competition scores, at the conclusion of the week-long competition, the participants in Golden Goal’s Invitational Tournament are with great fanfare inducted into the World Youth Soccer Hall of Fame. By obtaining membership into this exclusive club, Golden Goal recognizes and thereby honors all of the participants and their accomplishments. Upon induction, each and every Golden Goal Park participant, including our coaches receive the prestigious World Youth Soccer Hall Of Fame Ring. Along with a photo of each team affixed to the commemorative induction plaque for enshrinement on the walls of the World Youth Soccer Hall Of Fame, the awarding of this coveted ring officially signifies that the participants have been immortalized in the Hall Of Fame.
This summer, a different history is being made by the inaugural 2007 inductees as the first u10-u14 girls and boy teams to be competing upon fields cut from historic farmland where many of our country’s revolutionary war heroes passed. Each player and coach in the not-too-distant future will be able to see their memorabilia in the World Youth Soccer Hall Of Fame and remember those special lifelong memories created during their time at Golden Goal Park.
Our curator and staff are collecting throughout the tournament important artifacts; signed game balls, photos, uniforms, banners, boots, hats and other special items, each with a story behind them that collectively will tell the story of their week at Golden Goal Park. When the World Youth Soccer Hall of Fame opens its doors, Golden Goal alums will be able to return to the Park and see their immortalization in the halls of the museum gallery alongside other players from around the world.
As the collections grow with each new group of inductees, the dream of the World Youth Soccer Hall Of Fame gets closer to reality. Here at Golden Goal, the entire staff believes Goals are dreams with deadlines and Golden Goal Park’s commitment is to commence construction of the Hall of Fame as soon as the curator has collected enough artifacts to open. In time, our Hall of Fame members will return to Golden Goal and with them will be their sons and daughters to witness their father or mother’s glory days. These girls and boys will also play upon the pristine and beautiful fields of Golden Goal Park, thus continuing a tradition established by the first Golden Goal inaugural inductees and becoming a part of the annals of youth soccer history.
